A dreadful car accident changed everything for Stephen Strange. Crashing into a passing wagon, driven by a drunk driver, had severely damaged the nerves in his pentagram hands.
Strange was confronted by no longer being able to be a neurosurgeon. He refused to become an assistant or consultant. So, instead he used what money he had in order to travel the world searching for a cure.
One fateful day he heard hushed, firtive rumours of a powerful shaman known only as the Ancient One hiding in Tibet.
