From Cape to Cape

Memorial Day marks the unofficial start of the summer so we headed to the beaches on the eastern shores of the Delmarva Peninsula.  Cape Henlopen in Delaware and the nearby town of Lewes was so impressive the first time we visited a few years ago that we went back for a longer stay.  However, basking in the sun was not to be had for us this time at Cape Henlopen State Park because of the cold rain and gusty winds.

The next day dawned bright and clear as we boarded the ferry for our crossing of the Delaware Bay to Cape May, New Jersey. The 17 mile ferry ride was choppy but the views were incredible, of the two lighthouses in Cape Henlopen.
